Brick, with one pic, you've solved a mystery, which I couldn't solve, for 35 years.

The only person I knew, back in '81, who had his own PC was Jim Hamilton who couldn't have afforded to buy that BBC PC if he'd ever moved away from Home.  That thing took up almost 100% of the Available Room in his Mother's Basement!

What I couldn't figure out (then) was why he'd Insured his Hard Drive.  Now I know why.

Jim never did move out of Mother's House, did Marry and had no Kids before his Mother "Passed Away", and soon thereafter he followed suit, which left his Widow with an awesome piece of Real Estate on the South-Side of Finch Avenue just two blocks West of Yonge Street.
