Happy Birthday Anniversary, Paul!

It has to be your Anniversary because if it were actually your "Birth Day", it would probably kill your Mother to even attempt to Give Birth to you, at your present size.

True?

Yes But Bit Of A Odd Thing To Say.

Yes and no.  You were first conceived probably over nine months previous and, according to the Chinese, no matter how long you took to develop within your mother's uterus, it counts as one year.  Ergo, your first Birthday is exactly that; however your First Birthday Anniversary completes your Second Year of Life and begins your Third Year of Life.

Engagements, Weddings and Wedding Anniversaries follow exactly the same pattern and no one  thinks them peculiar.

Re: Happy Birthday PsPBuRnOuT
"Birthday" is indeed the correct use of English to describe the anniversary of ones birth date, no need for debate, the above moron poster is just wrong.
