nice setup. little behind imho on the OS. maybe not everyone love Win 10, but I would at least move to Win 8. got things covered on the RAM, might run into some issues with the GPU. not a good gaming system, but should be ok for graphic edits.

I just recently upgraded my system with a new mobo and GPU, got the AMD RX 460 4GB. I can run WoW at Ultra High settings and still get 30-40 FPS and at Medium/High I get 60+FPS

I love Win 10 also, and I use the full out content access option on my laptop, it makes the device extremely smart while I'm out and about.
I'm aware of the risks but I've not experienced anything unorthodox happening at my end, if it's just MS's ability to snoop, have at it  ;D

Otherwise, it's a phenomenal OS and becoming even better for Gamer's in the very near future.

Yeah, there are already 17 games that support DX12 and one to soon be released. I tried it with Rise of the Tomb Raider but it didn't seem to make much difference. I think that may change with newer releases, if it hasn't already.

I loved Windows 7 and was skeptical at first but Windows 10 beats the pants off of it.

It's more and more looking like OSX, not in terms of architecture but in the method that it is administered with specific updates building up the version numbers. Rumor had it at one time that 10 would be the last ever OS from MS, they have achieved the cross platform goal as 10 does indeed integrate seamlessly with other devices but I can't imagine the same OS can possibly stand up to the technology growth of hardware. I suppose we shall see.

my laptop and HTPC on 10 reboot themselves after shutdown or randomly, seems to be a fairly common problem reported on forums, only solution is to disable fast boot (which worked for me).

It is but the price is right. ;) I downloaded the Windows 10 .ISO from Microsoft, burned/installed it and activated the key from Kinguin.

i saw on a forum a little while ago where you can still get 10 for free, i didn't get right into it because my machines already have it, something like a clause from MS for students, disabled, etc. can still get it free and legit from MS with no need of proof of your status or disability. if anyone is interested i can try to find the info again.

It's a bit of a pain but a clean install is worth it.

I forgot a few things (like my PST file - all of your Outlook email) but Windows.old was a blessing.

IIRC, I remember having some issue trying to activate, I even think I messaged you regarding it, the old tried and true methods are no longer applicable and the new methods are a PITA.

I bought the Windows 10 key Pro from Kinguin for ~$33.00 USD and downloaded the .iso form Microsoft.  When I installed it I entered the key when prompted and it was activated. Easy money when you activate at installation.

I'm Now On A Dual Boot System :) (Older PC)
Win 98 And Win XP, Just Kidding Sev7n And Ten.
Also Created System Image (Win7) Using Acronis True Image 2017.

By Way Which Worked, Kind Of lol
Cause When I Tried It Out, It Didn't Create The Boot Files.

So I Used CMD To Repair The Boot.
Using The bootrec Commands :D

Paid £0 For Ten Created Image Using "Rufus"
It's Only Home, Who Needs Pro lol

I Use It For Testing Out Software e.t.c.
But Still Can't Do Without Seve7n.

Still Waiting On Getting New PC Back, Or New New PC.
If You Get What I Mean :)

As kali would say, " it's bootiful! "

Everything you could ever possibly want in a Flat-Out Gorgeous Tower: 16 GB RAM and a Three Year Warranty!
You didn't mention the Maker of your Motherboard (I prefer either ASRock or MSI but that's me).

(Last April, I thought I was in Heaven with: 4GB RAM, 3 Bays, Burner but without 3.5" Floppy Drive...as far as I can tell, my ThinkCentre Tower's unique which came with Win 7 Pro already installed (which is never going to be upgraded to anything; too many horror stories re: 8 and 10) to which I added: Malwarebytes Professional (Licensed until The End of Time), SuperAntiSpyware (Annual Renewal req'd, Bugger!), ATF-Cleaner and Avast! (which has been a bane since I installed it because of PC Performance Issues all of which are caused by Avast!) but as much of a Bitch as it is, it's still better than Evira.  Total Cost: $500 CDN)

I didn't think I'd like Windows 10 but I won't be going back. The horror stories are just that, stories. It's the best Windows operating system so far.

I have the free versions of MBAM and SAS, don't see a need for the Pro versions.

All I use for AV is Windows Defender. Haven't got any malware that those 3 couldn't handle so far and I install cracked video games and download movies.

We have approx. 10,000 PCs here at my work place, most run 7 but probably 25% of them are still on XP. The thoughts are that they may be able to eventually phase out PCs and use tablets only but ATT a tablet won't replace a PC.
I have a bit of a time now even with 7, and XP is just awful. I liked 10 from the time I installed the Technical Preview.

As for security, I only use the stock Defender, nothing else.

It isn't a dedicated graphics card, it's an APU CPU/Graphics chip, about $80US. Not very good for gaming but I suppose a proper card could be added. Then the bottle neck would be around the CPU, APU's are not very good for gaming either. APUs are best suited for HPTCs, Laptops, and micro-boxes.

No, they're the same thing. the A8 hosts an R7 graphics processor. That is all that is included with the PC above, no dedicated GPU.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113391

Much like my i7 7700K, which also hosts a graphics processor, if I plug an HDMI cable into the port on my motherboard I can get video, it's via the CPU and no, my motherboard does not have an on-board graphics chip.

That processor itself is about as good as you'll find in the average laptop, $45 motherboard, generic RAM, throw it in a fancy glass and shiny plastic case and "voila", Ultra Fast Gaming PC.  ;D

huh... I do know that AMD likes to try and name the graphics side of a CPU something to make it sound shiny, but there is an R7 line of GPU cards http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/r7

either way I have learned that its not always the set-up that is the issue with gameplay/framerate - I can only get 30 FPS on Star Wars The Old Republic, but on World of Warcraft I can get 60 + FPS on Ultra settings

same hardware

Yes, there is a line of R7 GPUs, that is what is deceiving about the "Ultra Fast Gaming PC" listed here, the chip used is a CPU/graphics combo, commonly known as an APU.

my laptop has a CPU/APU set-up, it does spec out performance-wise to the GPU of same class

so yes, I dont like "ultra fast" but if it can do what an R7 GPU PCI card can do, then it should get good FPS out of most games

It can't. But it is slightly more respectable than some of the motherboards with built in graphics. I also believe that an actual GPU could be installed in the machine to enable "dual" graphics, or from a list of QVs, crossfire mode with the right card.

Kinda low spec'd chip by itself. Better for HD video than gaming. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+R7+A10-7850K
