Dual boot
« on: December 22, 2008, 02:55:36 PM »
Well my PC is at optimum health, the heatsink's cleaned of the velvet film building up on it,which im sure was the cause of all those blink outs.
Now i've got Linux Ubuntu also,so i can switch between that and XP Pro.
It's very intriguing, more involved and intuitive than Windows.

Well i've just taken a basic look, downloaded VLC,and tried to get an Ubuntu wallpaper from one of my Windows folders,to appear on the screen when i boot Ubuntu,i have to activate something for it to appear,so im not sure i've cracked it yet.
But early indications are good,a simple layout, nothing too complex, certain things are termed differently, but i think i'll like it.
